Open North Yorkshire is a North Yorkshire County Council programme funded by the Department for Transport to promote sustainable transport. The County Council was awarded just under £1 million to help people make informed travel choices for the journeys they make and deliver a programme between 2017-2020. The Bid Document can be found here. The Open North Yorkshire programme specifically works in Harrogate, Scarborough and Skipton.

From 2017-2020 we worked with secondary schools, businesses and residents in new developments to increase awareness of the different, more sustainable modes of transport available to them. This includes walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing.

The Access Fund project was extended for another year (2020/21) allowing us to continue working in these towns to help schools and businesses save time, save money and improve their health through active and sustainable travel.

Currently, we are able to support secondary schools and businesses so for more information, please click on the relevant tabs to find out how we can help you.
